Mulamoottil Group, the financial arm of the family concerns was established in the year 1966 by M. A. Thomas. After pursuing a successful accounting career in Malaysia, he ventured into retail banking in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) for several years prior to setting up a business in India - Mulamoottil Trading Company which specializes in the wholesale supply of construction materials.

His son, Jacob Thomas established the Mulamoottil Leasing and Hire Purchase Ltd, an NBFC registered with the Reserve Bank of India has over 50 branches all over central Kerala. He is the present chairman of the group.

Mulamoottil Homes Pvt. Ltd engages in property development and construction of villas, flats and malls.

Mulamoottil Finance and Kuries -a micro lending institution - boasts of a consumer base of over a million satisfied customers.

Mulamoottil Central School, a relatively new venture is already a success with satisfied parents, dynamic teaching faculty and enthusiastic children.
